Kerry Anderson, OAM
Author of Australian Rural Entrepreneurs (2020) and Entrepreneurship: It's Everybody's Business (2016), Kerry Anderson is a strong voice for rural Australia, a champion for small business and entrepreneurs, and passionate about changing the conversation from job seeking to job creation.
Renowned for her engaging and practical approach she facilitates engaging, authentic and relevant conversations encouraging everyone to look at existing landscapes with fresh eyes to embrace change and create new opportunities.
Kerry empowers rural communities to take control of their own destiny through the innovative Operation Next Gen and Be Your Own Boss programs offered Australia wide. In 2017 she was one of two Australians invited by the Kauffman Foundation to Kansas City bringing practitioners worldwide together to share best practice in building collaborative entrepreneurship ecosystems.
In 2018 Kerry was named a Top 50 Australian Regional Agent of Change, and honoured with the 8point8 Regional Innovation Ecosystem Leader award. She is a frequent speaker at events here and overseas.
On 26 January 2022 Kerry was awarded the Order of Australia Medal for her services to business and community development.
