Marilyn Lanyon, Simply Tomatoes & Aussie Wool Quilts- Boort Over almost thirty years of growing tomatoes, Marilyn developed a standout recipe that led to the creation of Simply Tomatoes in 2002. It has been an exciting journey that put Boort on the global map as it led into the export market. The purchase of yet another business - Aussie Wool Quilts Boort - also created 18 body shaped therapeutic from their wheat and wool, and resulted in tourism awards. At the forefront of agribusiness in the Loddon Shire, we look forward to learning from Marilyn's wisdom.
Elise Brown, Fair Dinkum Dog Coats At 19 years of age Elise purchased this small wholesale manufacturing business with the help of a family loan in her home town of Castlemaine. Within a year she'd paid back the loan, and within three years she transformed it from wholesale into a totally online business that won her an award and gave her the flexibility to raise a family. Toni Barton, The Original Lamb Bacon Co Toni breeds Australian White Lamb, considered the Wagyu of lamb meat, at Nulla Vale. Through a collaboration with experts in the field, she created lamb bacon which is now sold through restaurants, retail outlets and Farmers Markets at premium prices.
